FAQs for high school students

  • Will we be able to serve on sponsorship committees this year?

We are, for sure, going to have a sponsorship student committee this year and the committee members will be known as "castmembers."  You will still get your committee t-shirt and "magicband" formerly known as wristbands, if you raise your sponsorship money.  We are working hard to try and figure out when/how students can play a part in planning these events. With no common advisory and alternating schedules, we are having to improvise and hope to have details soon.

  • Will we be able to have in-person events this year or will everything have to be virtual?

By pushing DUCK WEEK back to May, the hope is that we will be able to have as many in person events as possible with a live option.

  • Will we still buy wristbands for the week even though we are A/B?

Yes, there will still be lots of activities for both groups.  We are still working on the plans to maximize the events for both A&B days in addition to creating events for both groups.

AS WE GET MORE QUESTIONS, WE WILL POST THOSE ANSWERS HERE.  IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION, CLICK THE SUGGESTIONS/QUESTIONS TAB.

DETAILS:

In the past we have been able to have committees meet in person, but due to our A/B schedule and no common advisory, we face some obvious challenges. Our main goal has always been to raise money for the recipients, so for now, that is what we are going to focus on.  We are hopeful that we will find a way to have kids sign up for planning committees, even if it is not until after spring break. So make sure to answer all of the questions on the castmember form. NEW THIS YEAR... LEVELS!!! The more you raise for DUCK WEEK, the more you can earn. Don't forget,we also have extra special perks for castmembers.  This year is no different, which may look like special entry, special seating, etc.

WE ARE HOPEFUL TO BE ABLE TO ANNOUNCE A SPONSORSHIP TOTAL ON

THE FRIDAY OF OUR ORIGINAL DUCK WEEK (MARCH 12TH) AS A WAY TO KICK START OUR CAMPAIGN FOR MAY. SO, SET A GOAL TO HAVE YOUR SPONSORSHIP MONEY BY THAT DATE SO WE CAN INCLUDE YOU IN OUR TOTALS!
